Meet the driving force behind Sound Factory Tokyo, Nick Clegg, BSc (Hons), a versatile composer, mixing engineer, and sound designer with a rich background in the world of audio production. Nick's journey as an engineer began at the School of Sound Recording in Manchester, where he honed his skills and later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sound and Video Technology from the University of Salford. His coursework encompassed the intricacies of sound design, sound engineering, spatial audio, and advanced audio production across various media platforms.
Since relocating to Tokyo in 2013, Nick has built a diverse and impressive portfolio across various facets of audio production. With extensive experience in production sound and post-production for commercials, documentaries, events, and feature films, Nick has contributed to high-profile projects for renowned companies such as TOHO, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, DAZN, Disney, BBC, Warner Bros Discovery, Red Bull, Panasonic, Sony, the Olympic Channel, NBC, Apple, WWE, and many others.
Beyond his engineering expertise, Nick is also a talented musician. From 2007 to 2012, he toured with The Commitments, showcasing his keyboard skills alongside a wide range of musicians. Since moving to Japan, he has further expanded his musical range, contributing to J-pop and K-pop tracks, and composing for commercial projects with top-tier brands like Nissan, Yamaha, and Amphion.
In 2017, Nick realized his vision by founding Sound Factory Tokyo, where he continues to provide exceptional sound and music services, building lasting relationships with a growing and diverse client base.
Miho Abe
PRODUCER< MANAGER
Miho primarily engages in communication with clients. With several years of experience in video production and a background in event coordination, she brings valuable expertise to the table.
In addition to her production roles, Miho is also a skilled acupuncturist. She occasionally incorporates acupuncture and moxibustion techniques to alleviate tension at production sites.
Miho holds a degree from Musashi University, Faculty of Humanities, Department of European and American Culture. Her educational journey includes studying abroad and working on an overseas luxury cruise ship. Fluent in both English and Japanese, she adeptly communicates in both languages.
